Link

The LINK Learning Team consists of five small class groups set in specific classroom areas. Students in LINK commonly have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder and benefit from a small peer group, a structured routine and supported communication.

Each classroom in LINK has areas for learning, a sensory space and access to outdoor courtyards. Staff are skilled in using alternate and augmentative communication such as Proloquo2Go, Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) Communication Books and visual schedules and scripts.

Students engage in a program rich in functional opportunities to perform tasks, request help, complete work skills, follow instructions and learn academic skills. There is a strong focus on social/emotional skills and communication underpinning all areas of the class curriculum. Each student also has an Individualised Learning Plan (ILP) that complements the class learning program.
