The P&C at Black Mountain School is represented by a committee that is elected every year at our AGM. It is the committee’s aim to:

Membership

Unlike many other schools, membership to the BMS P&C Association is something we ask parents, carers or interested community members to choose. Being a family at BMS entitles you to attend and be involved in all the activities and events supported by the P&C. Membership gives the added benefit of being able to nominate for election to the P&C committee and / or the school board. It also enables you to vote in these elections. A nomination for membership form is included in the school Welcome Pack or is available at the front office. If you would like to become a member of the BMS P&C Association please fill this in and return it to the front office.

Six Degrees Cafe, Gallery, Garden

As part of our partnership with the school, the P&C oversees the business operation of Six Degrees Cafe, Gallery, Garden. Together we are working towards developing work readiness and post school employment opportunities.

Six Degrees Cafe is a warm and welcoming place to catch up with family and friends. The cafe provides work education, training and employment for many of our students in the areas of hospitality, horticulture and industrial art.  Taking time out for a coffee at Six Degrees is a great way to support the school. The cafe is open to the public on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 - 5.30 and to parents, staff and students on Thursday and Friday from 9 - 2.

Special events through the year, such as YAMFFA, BMS Has Got Talent, Dance Fest, and the End of Year Concert are amazing celebrations that are done in true BMS style.

Black Mountain Fete and Bricks Display - in partnership with the Canberra Lego Users Group (CLUG), we hold this event every year on the 3rd Saturday in November.
